Restored by Count Tibor Kalnoky, the Inn is centered in small Hungarian-ethnic village. With ten individually decorated and furnished double-rooms in two locations, the Inn offers superior comfort and hospitality. Even if not actually a 'castle', it is widely praised in the European travel press.
Often present at the Inn and its elegant dinners, Count Kalnoky greets his guests. His staff offer a variety of hikes, 4WD jaunts, and sightseeing in the scenic regions surrounding the village of Miclosoara/Miklosvar. Sunday service in the local church is a step back in time as is a visit to the family's 700 year old country mansion under restoration in the village.
Hungarian-ethnic village, calm rural vistas, trails, carriage rides, and day-trips options.
Off the main roads for about 20 miles/30 km through local villages and over a narrow Olt River bridge and sometimes bumpy road. The Inn offers pick-up in Bucharest (4 hrs) or Brasov (1 hour).
